The Cantina Calcagno, located on the northern slope of Mount Etna, was born in 2006 originating from the Calcagno Family’s winemaking tradition and love for its territories. The brothers Franco and Gianni Calcagno, together with Franco’s daughter Giusy, decided to transform what is a family passion, handed down from father to son for over 5 generations, into the company it became today. The vineyards, also fully owned by the family, are mostly located in the contrade Arcuria, Feudo di Mezzo and Volpari in Passopisciaro, on the northern slope of the volcano and in Milo, on the mountain’s south-eastern side.
The production volumes of this small winery are extremely limited, always below 30,000 bottles per year, to the full advantage of the excellent quality and authenticity of their products, hardly matched by other producers.

This is how the founders and owners of the Judeka winery introduce themselves to the public. The winery is located in the countryside of Caltagirone, 30 minutes away from Catania, mostly famous for its fascinating ceramic work of arts and tradition.
The two brothers share the common passion for wine and their land and have managed, in few years, to establish themselves as strong player in both the Italian and international wine market.
